What does a product video actually cost?

A short clip can be straightforward – or require several scenes made from scratch. Here's what my starting prices cover, and when a custom quote makes more sense.

01

Seconds are only the starting point.

A 20-second video isn't necessarily half the work of a 40-second one. Animating an existing interface is a different job from building a product in 3D, lighting it and showing it across several scenes.

I start with the job: what should be clear after watching, where will the video run, and what material already exists? That gives us a useful scope instead of an arbitrary runtime.

02

Existing assets keep the starting scope focused.

The starting prices assume you supply the product images, UI files, screen recordings or brand assets the film needs. I turn them into a clear sequence with motion and sound. Delivery covers one agreed format, such as landscape or vertical.

If key visuals don't exist yet, they need to be created. Bespoke 3D, filming, voiceover, substantial licences or multiple formats therefore need a separate quote. You'll know what's included before work begins.

03

Three starting points, three jobs.

A short video starts at 299 € for 15–20 seconds focused on one feature or offer, with one revision round. A product demo starts at 599 € for a 25–40 second journey, including a simple story, motion, sound and one revision round.

A product film starts at 1,190 € for 45–60 seconds across connected scenes, including a scene plan, motion, sound and two revision rounds. Each starting point assumes supplied assets, one format and an agreed scope. These are starting prices, not flat rates for every project.

04

What a quote should make clear.

A useful quote states the film's job, runtime, style, supplied and newly created assets, formats, delivery files, revision rounds, deadline and price. Planned placements and any music or asset licences should be clear too.

You don't need to decide all of that alone. Send me the product, where the video will appear and your budget range. I'll suggest what makes sense within it and explain any extra costs. Production starts only after you approve the scope.

Why two demos can cost differently
An app demo with existing UI files and one clear user journey may fit the demo starting point. Add new 3D scenes, voiceover and vertical cutdowns, and the same idea needs a custom quote.

This illustrates scope; it isn't a quote for a specific project. The final price depends on the assets and agreed deliverables.
